Catherine has her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Millikin University and her Maters of Music in Vocal Performance from Western Illinois University. She has studied under a wide variety of accomplished teachers, pedagogs, and performers, and was selected to perform in masterclasses for both Alan Held and Cynthia Lawrence. Catherine has a varied experience as a performer, music director, and teacher. Catherine discovered her love of teaching while taking Pedagogy Practicum during her undergrad and hasn’t stopped since. She believes in building well rounded singers and incorporates music theory, ear training, and pedagogy into every lesson. Each student has a wonderful and unique instrument, and this gives Catherine the opportunity to tailor lessons to each student. Part of what she loves most is adapting and problem solving her teaching to work best for her students! Her love for what she does is infectious and she can’t wait to help you or your child on their singing journey!
