November 3rd - December 15th
Tuesdays 4:15pm-5:15pm
We will learn and experiment with color theory and mixing, with basic watercolor techniques such as wet-on-wet, wet-on-dry, and dry-on-dry, and different papers. We will have the opportunity to play with creating textures. Students will also explore different papers and incorporate unique media into your watercolor painting process!
We will be mostly working from enlarged photographs; students may bring their reference or paint from a selection of images offered by the instructor. If your drawing skills are tentative, there will be an option to trace/transfer enlarged images to watercolor paper. (Drawing instruction and composition suggestions will be offered.) This class is geared towards beginning and intermediate levels, but all are welcome to join in to paint and create!
