Angela was born in Eastern Europe in Georgia to a family of musicians.  Her mother is an accomplished opera singer and her sisters are both professional violinists and viola players.  Angela started playing violin at a very young age. She went on to study music at college and the elite Tbilisi State Conservatory of Music in Georgia. There she was taught by members of the world-renowned Berlin Chamber Orchestra. In addition to violin/viola, Angela studied piano as a second instrument and all subjects of music such as musical harmony, the history of music of each country in the world, solfeggio, analysis of musical pieces, etc. 

 

After graduating from the music university, Angela started teaching music at a music school and playing in the symphony orchestra. She also played as part of the Georgia National Opera Theater Orchestra. With the Orchestra she toured many European countries under the direction of outstanding conductors. 

 

After moving to the USA, Angela took courses in the Suzuki method and became a certified teacher in the Suzuki method.
