Summer Camps

Summer camps at School for the Arts Brighton are fun, creative, innovative, and designed to encourage your child’s interest in the arts while developing and expanding their creativity.

2024 camp offerings for ages 3-18 include:

~Young Entrepreneurs Camp – Start your Own Face Painting Business (registration opening soon)

Camps ranging from a partial day to full day, one day to multi-day and week long camps.
Opportunities are available to combine camps for additional full-day camp experiences.

Dance camp participants are asked to wear proper dance attire based on camps they are participating in. Additional details included on camp registration form.

All dance camps are conducted by SFTA Instructor Amy Pacheco (Dance)

Dance camp students will perform the combo they learn in camp for their families
at the end of Thursday’s camp sessions.

Little Explorers: Growing in Dance | 9:30-10:15am

Dancer ages are provided for camps based on instruction level. Dancers are asked to be within the class ages at the start of the camp week.

Little Explorers | Growing in Dance | Ages 3-5
Campers will learn a dance, do creative movement, play dance games, and make a craft.

Ballet + Tap Combo | Ages 6-10
Campers will learn ballet and tap technique and combos, and play dance games.

Jazz + Hip Hop Combo | Ages 6-10
Campers will stretch, learn jazz technique and a jazz combo, play dance games, learn basic hip hop moves across floor, and learn a hip hop combo.

“A Pirate’s Life For Me!” – A Pirate Musical Theatre Camp at School For The Arts Brighton

“Ahoy, Mateys!” It’s time to set sail for an adventure of a lifetime in “Pirates! The Musical”! Join the salty crew of colorful scallywags when Bluebeard, Yellowbeard, Whitebeard, Purplebeard and MORE hoist the Jolly Roger and set sail for the vast blue sea! It’s all hands on deck for this hilarious musical.

Campers ages 7-13 will sing, dance, and act their way on our SFTA pirate ship this summer! All pirates will enjoy playing musical theater games, creating crafts in the spirit and theme of the show, and putting on an unforgettable performance for friends and family the last evening of camp!

Come aboard and join our silly crew this summer at SFTA! We promise no one will have to walk the plank!”

On Friday evening, August 2, at the finale of our pirate’s life week we’ll present a live musical performance of “Pirates! The Musical”. Our performance will showcase all the skills and knowledge campers gained throughout the week. 

Don’t miss out on this high-energy, musical extravaganza!

Ages 7-9
Campers will develop and grow skills in problem-solving, logic, and collaboration using Lego WeDo 2.0 curriculum and other assorted robotics components.

This camp is designed for campers who are new to or have limited robotics experience.
Campers will focus on an introduction to basic mechanical design and programming with selected projects created by Lego Education.

SFTA robotics courses are built on the foundation of encouraging the curiosity and creativity needed to become a lifelong learner.

Ages 10-12
Campers will develop and grow skills in problem-solving, logic, and collaboration using various curriculum and assorted robotics components.

This camp is designed for campers who are new to or have limited robotics experience.
Campers will focus on an introduction to basic mechanical design and programming through the completion of selected projects.

Robotics Camps are taught by
SFTA Robotics Instructor Dan Pace.

All supplies are provided along with guided instruction for each cookie.
Campers will leave with a box full of their custom creations.
